Brightech vs Bee Solar String Lights | Patio Guide
These two lights solve the same wiring problem, but they do not create the same kind of patio. Brightech’s Ambience Pro Solar Hanging uses familiar café-style S14 bulbs. Our bee string lights turn the cable itself into part of the garden, with small bee-shaped LEDs that remain decorative before sunset.
This independent comparison was checked on July 31, 2026 against the official Brightech Ambience Pro Solar Hanging page and our current Solar Bee String Lights page. Specifications and available options can change, so check both product pages before ordering.

The quickest way to choose
Choose Brightech when you want the proportions of a classic café string: fewer, larger bulbs and a clean line above a dining or seating area. Choose bee string lights when the small shapes and denser points of light are part of the look, especially around planting, a pergola or a garden fence.
Compare the line you will see
Brightech Ambience Pro Solar Hanging
The current official page lists 27 ft and 48 ft versions, with 12 or 15 S14 one-watt LED bulbs depending on the length. It lists a 2700K warm-white option and automatic dusk operation through a photocell. The result is a recognizable café-light silhouette with space between the bulbs.
WayfairUSA Solar Bee String Lights
Each current bee-light set measures 12 m / 39 ft and carries 100 illuminated bee shapes. The listed choices combine four, six or eight separate strings, rather than one continuous run. That matters when the garden has several short edges: each string needs its own route and its solar panel needs an open sunny position.
Measure the layout before comparing total feet
A 48-foot café string can make sense over one continuous seating area. Four separate 39-foot bee strings can make more sense when you want to divide the light across a pergola, fence and shrubs. Total length alone does not tell you whether the sections fit the space.
Sketch each run, mark the attachment points and note where the solar panel can receive direct sun. Do not assume either product can be cut or extended unless its exact product page says so.
Which one suits your patio?
For an outdoor table, a straight run and a familiar café look, Brightech is the closer match. For a flower-filled garden, a playful daytime detail or several separate decorating zones, the bee lights are the more natural design choice. Neither is a substitute for strong security lighting.

Frequently asked questions
Are the bee lights one 157-foot string?
No. The current four-set option contains four separate 39-foot strings, for 157.5 feet in total. The six- and eight-set options also contain separate strings.
Do both products turn on automatically at dusk?
Brightech states automatic dusk operation on the cited Ambience Pro page. Our bee-light page says the solar strings illuminate after dark once charged.
Which product is brighter?
We do not make that comparison because the current bee-light page does not publish a lumen figure. Choose by supported layout and appearance, not an invented brightness claim.
